Web Development · Mumbai & Worldwide

Websites and web apps,
built on the right stack for the job.

We plan, design and build custom websites and web applications — from a marketing site that needs to load fast and rank, to a bespoke system with real workflows behind it. If your project is a specific framework or a more complex system, our Laravel and custom web application pages go deeper into those specifics.

Developers building a custom website through a planned, tested delivery pipeline

Prateeksha builds custom websites and web applications in Mumbai using React, Next.js and Laravel, scoped to what each project actually needs rather than a fixed template. This is our general web development service, distinct from our custom web application development service (for bespoke, workflow-heavy systems) and our Laravel-specific service (for framework-specialist backend work). We do not build on Angular and do not offer a formal staff-augmentation or hire-a-developer service.

Where general web builds go wrong

Most underperforming websites started with the wrong scope, not the wrong developer.

  1. 01

A template stretched past its limits

A page-builder or off-the-shelf theme pushed to do things it was never designed for, until every change becomes fragile.

  2. 02

No plan for content or data

Pages built before anyone decided how content gets managed, updated or migrated later.

  3. 03

    Integrations bolted on afterward

Payments, forms and third-party tools wired in as an afterthought instead of planned into the build.

  4. 04

A redesign that loses search visibility

URLs changed with no redirect plan, breaking links that used to rank.

  5. 05

    No handover

Code and credentials left undocumented, so the next developer has to reverse-engineer the site before touching it.

What a scoped build changes

A build matched to your project, documented on the way out.

We scope the build around your content, integrations and data needs before writing code, and hand over documentation so your team is never locked in. Need a bespoke, workflow-heavy system instead? See our custom web application development service.

  • A stack chosen for the project, not applied as a default
  • Content and data planned before the build starts
  • Integrations scoped in from the beginning, not bolted on
  • A redirect map and validation pass for any redesign or migration
  • Documentation and a clean handover at the end

What's included

Every stage a general web build actually needs, in order.

Scoped to your content, integrations and data needs — not a fixed package.

01

Discovery & scope

Content, integrations and data needs mapped before any build decision is made.

Discovery

02

UI implementation

React and Next.js frontends built from a documented, reusable component set.

Frontend

03

API & backend work

Laravel APIs and backend logic where the project needs server-side data or business logic.

Backend

See Laravel specifics
04

CMS & content setup

A content model your team can actually manage, with migration support from an existing CMS.

CMS

05

Ecommerce & payments

Product catalogues, checkout and payment integration where the project includes commerce.

Commerce

06

Redesign & migration

A redirect map and validation pass for moving from an existing site, to reduce the risk of lost visibility.

Migration

07

Testing

Verification against the pages, integrations and data flows actually shipped.

How delivery runs

Scope, design, build, validate, hand over — in that order.

The same sequence for a focused marketing site or a larger application.

  1. Scope

Content, integrations, data needs and the right stack understood before any build decision.

  2. Design

UI and component structure planned so the build stays consistent as pages are added.

  3. Build

React/Next.js frontends and Laravel backend work, wired to real data and integrations.

  4. Validate

Testing, and for redesigns, a redirect map and validation pass before cutover.

  5. Hand over

Documentation, credentials and a maintenance option, so you are never locked in.

What changes

A stretched template vs. a build scoped to your project.

Both can look finished at launch. The difference shows up when content, integrations or traffic grow.

What changes
A stretched template
A scoped web build
Stack
Whatever the template or theme happens to use
React, Next.js or Laravel, chosen for what the project needs
Content model
Decided after launch, retrofitted awkwardly
Planned before the build starts
Integrations
Bolted on as an afterthought
Scoped in from the beginning
Redesigns
URLs change with no redirect plan
A redirect map and validation pass to reduce risk
Handover
Undocumented, hard to hand to a new developer
Documented code and credentials at delivery

Suited to

Built for the project your content and integrations actually need.

Not every build needs the same scope — we match the approach to the job.

01

Marketing & content sites

CMS-driven, mostly-static pages that need to be fast and easy for your team to update.

Content-led

02

Sites with commerce

Product catalogues, checkout and payment integration alongside standard pages.

Commerce

03

Redesigns & migrations

Moving an existing site to a modern stack without losing indexed search visibility.

Migration

Choose your starting point

Three ways to start, depending on where your project is today.

A new build, a redesign, or a focused fix — each is a legitimate, honestly-scoped starting point.

Diagnose

Site or performance review

A review of an existing site, with a written recommendation on scope and approach.

  • Content and integration audit
  • Redirect map for redesigns
  • A stack recommendation matched to your needs
  • A written plan you can act on either way

Recommended

Scoped build

A new website or web application built to the scope your project actually needs.

  • React/Next.js frontend, Laravel backend where needed
  • Content model and CMS setup
  • Integrations planned in from the start
  • Testing and documentation before handover
Scope a build

Ongoing

Support & iteration

Maintenance and incremental improvements after launch, as content and traffic grow.

  • Updates, monitoring and fixes
  • Incremental feature work
  • Performance diagnosis as traffic grows
  • See our website maintenance service

What ships with every web development engagement

A scoped project plan

A written record of what is being built, why, and in what order — agreed before work starts.

A documented component set

Reusable UI components with usage notes, so future pages stay consistent.

Redirect map (for redesigns)

Old URLs mapped to new ones, validated before cutover to reduce lost visibility.

Testing before launch

Verification against the pages, integrations and data flows actually shipped.

Deployment notes

Build, environment and hosting configuration documented, whatever platform you deploy to.

Handover & support options

Code, docs and credentials handed over, with a maintenance plan available if you want it.

Ready to scope your project?

Tell us what you're building — we'll recommend a scope, not a default.

Share your content, integrations and data needs. You'll get an honest recommendation on approach and stack before any commitment.

FAQs

Web development — frequently asked questions.

Straight answers on scope, technology choices and what this service does and doesn't include.

Not sure if this is the right service? Tell us your project and we'll point you honestly to the right page, including if a different approach suits better.

It depends on scope — page count, integrations, whether it is a marketing site or a data-driven application, and any ecommerce or payment work. Share your requirements and we will provide a clear, scoped estimate rather than a generic price range.

This page covers our general web build service — websites and reasonably-scoped web applications. Our custom web application development service is for bespoke, workflow-heavy systems with more complex data models and integrations. If you are unsure which fits, tell us your project and we will point you to the right one honestly.

React and Next.js for frontends, and Laravel for API backends and CMS work — the stack this agency actually builds and maintains. We do not build on Angular or offer a formal staff-augmentation service; if your project genuinely needs either, we will tell you plainly rather than stretch our scope to cover it.

Yes. We audit the existing site, plan content migration and a redirect map for existing URLs, and validate it before launch — this reduces the risk of losing search visibility during the move, it is not a guarantee that every ranking carries over unchanged.

No. We deliver scoped projects rather than operating as a staffing agency or providing individual developers on a hired-out basis. If you need a defined project built, that's what this service is for.

Yes. We diagnose what is actually limiting speed — images, data fetching, rendering strategy or hosting — and fix the specific bottleneck rather than applying a generic checklist. See our speed optimisation service for the dedicated version of this work.

Yes, as a separate service — updates, monitoring and fixes. We don't publish a specific uptime guarantee or SLA number; see our website maintenance service for what is actually included.

You do, after final payment. We hand over documentation, credentials and code so your team or a future developer can pick it up without depending on us.
